Van 2 reflecting on cheerfulness of Van 1

Mark's van is a few run legs (and perhaps 2 1/2 hours) away from us and
seemingly a million times less grumpy than this cranky Rank Stranger.
Perhaps our visit to the fabled Zion breakfast spot will help.

What am I sore about? Randy, Dave and I are covering the extra miles that
would have been a 12th runner's, and early this morning was my turn for
bonus miles. I ran 6.6 miles (finiishing at 12:21 AM) and then 4 miles -
handing off to Van #1 and Mark at 2:15. Again, after pancakes this may
start to seem like a good idea.....

Yes, yes ... we all know covering the extra miles of the missing runner places an added burden on Van #2. But you knew what you were in for when you signed up for this hitch.

I hope the pancakes help.

Also, you should feel a lot safer just knowing that Paris Hilton is back behind bars. Not since Martha Stewart was in the stir have I felt so secure in my home.

Good luck for your final legs. I'll be watching the posts to keep track.

And I'd like to plant an idea for next year: Runner Cam. Just think about it...

Good Morning Runners!!!

I know -- morning was much earlier for you guys watching it come up.

Think of it this way -- you are in the finishing day and its light!! Can't be too far to go now.

Let us know how the pancakes work on that grumpiness -- have plenty of maple syrup.

Hey Good Kid! In about 30 minutes, it will be 4 hours since the last post. I don't know about you, but I need more frequent updates than that. What ever happened to Van #1? What'd we get, like, one post from them? C'mon ... inquiring blog-readers want to know.
