dinner in Wales, WI.
It is likely that we pushed too hard through our first runs; we were very
keyed up after hours of waiting for our turns. We pick up again at about
9:30 - we'll know then whether we went out too fast!

Woo-hoo! Way to go, Van #2! Enjoy dinner. You deserved it. And enjoy your night runs. (Those were my favorites two years ago.) I hope the weather remains favorable and the cars stay far away. Good luck, Strangers!

so give us the stats...you are ahead of your plan -- by how much -- how does that make you feel - do you care - just trying to survive or are you going to book it?!?
Okay, it's been an hour and half since you finished running. By now you should be done eating and posting some info. Where'd you go for supper? What did you have?
The GMR is one of two running events I'm following this weekend. In NCAA Division I action from Sacramento, Stephen Pifer of the Colorado Buffaloes qualified for the finals in the 1500. Tomorrow, he'll square off against his Big 12 rival Leonel Manzano from Texas. This is Pifer's last chance for the national championship. I can't wait to see what happens.
And, since you're running through Wisconsin, it's appropriate to note the Wisconsin's Chris Solinsky goes after the 5000 meter championshp. He'll face stiff competition from Pifer's Buff teammate, Brent Vaughnn.
Good luck to everyone running for and through Wisconsin tonight.
